Mind you, winning a business award is not an easy-peasy. Business awards are won through a competitive phase. Though, they can be honorary too.

SOME TIPS ON BUSINESS AWARD

1. KNOW YOUR WORTH.

With or without business awards, your business activities would still move on and your business would still grow. However, you can use the award criteria as a yardstick to assess what your business is doing right or up to standard.

If you did well and still didn’t win the award, still celebrate because your business has moved from where it was before.

2. CONCENTRATE ON AWARD RELEVANCE

Don’t just enter any award, focus on awards that are relevant to your industry and business. Though, some awards have indirect relevance.

3. AWARD ENTRY STANDARDIZATION

When entering for an award, make sure you follow all the rules and guidelines, your grammar should be devoid of errors. You should prepare for it as if the judge is watching you.

Stick to what is expected of you.

4. BE AN EARLY BIRD

Make sure you start working on your award entry early enough before the deadline, this affords you ample time to make the necessary without pressure. You get to go over it several times till it nears perfection.

5. LET THE WORLD KNOW

On the off chance you are nominated or finally win the award, let the world know you won or were nominated. This alone would help your branding. More businesses would want to be associated with yours.

·      You can even include in some of your documents like company profile, proposals e.t.c.

·      Advertise your award.

·      Celebrate: Appreciate how far you’ve come.

Don’t also forget to take pictures or record videos, the media, and populace like evidence.

6. DON’T SET A BUSINESS AWARD TARGET

Many people make this mistake of setting a business award winning goal. There is no guarantee you’d win the award, if you’re guaranteed of winning, I don’t think it is worth winning then.

Rather, identify awards you can compete in and improve on.
